Part G Compliance

Building Regulation 36(1) requires a water efficiency calculation for each new dwelling and some dwellings formed by material change of use.Water efficiency calculations predict the water consumption in line with Part G of the Building Regulations.

The water efficiency of a property is becoming increasingly important to make homes more sustainable.

Water efficiency is measured in litres per person per day. To comply with Part G of the Building Regulations, a dwelling must show that its water targets will not exceed the target which is typically 125 litres per per per day although some local authorities will set lower targets.

We will provide a design template at the design stage which will give flow rate limits for fittings and at the final as-built stage we will consult with you and provide the final calculations and certificate for Building Control.
